FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: ACCESSORIES
How are shampoo shelves and footrests mounted?
Our accessories are mounted after the panels have been installed and any seams have been sealed with silicone. For our cast marble footrests and shelves (except corner mount), blocking is recommended and the included truss head screws should be used. If blocking is not possible, MAW WingIts can be ordered. You will also need color matching silicone and sometimes hot melt glue to adhere the products to the panels.

Is there a specified height for soap dishes?
For a shower, we recommend installing the soapdishes at 48" from the floor. If there are 2 soapdishes, we recommend that you put one at each corner of the shower. For a tub, we recommend one of the dishes be at 12" above the tub rim and the other at 48” above the finished floor.
What is the recommended height for footrests?
First, please refer to your brand specifications to determine footrest location. Generally, we recommend installing footrests 12-14" above the finished floor.
How are soap dishes attached to the wall?
Soap dishes are installed after panels have been installed. The soapdishes should be attached using a combination of silicone and hot melt glue. We recommend using a few dollops of silicone and strategically adding several tabs of hot glue. The hot melt glue is used to hold the soapdish in place, allowing time for the silicone to cure. The perimeter of the soapdish should also be caulked with silicone. See installation instructions for more information.
When do I need trim strips?
Our panel edges always come finished, so trim isn't always necessary. However, our cast marble trim strips are particularly useful for renovations. They're available in a variety of sizes in order to go over existing material and cover the edge of the original product.

Who cuts the holes for shower niches?
Any cuts for niches, nooks, or plumbing fixtures are done onsite by the installer.
