OPEN POSITIONS

TAKEOFF TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a Takeoff Technician who will play a critical role in the bidding process by reviewing and analyzing construction documents to determine quantities, dimensions, and applicable products for bid proposals. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines daily. The accuracy of the work directly impacts the success of both the individual and the company.

The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to working with numbers and data, ensuring no detail is overlooked in complex construction documents. Familiarity with the company's product offerings and brand standards is essential, and the ability to interpret construction documents is a key requirement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Takeoff Workflow: Maintain and prioritize the takeoff list, ensuring accurate documentation of ongoing and completed bid projects.
  • Document Handling: Access shared drives to review and save bidding documentation securely.
  • Contract Review: Analyze construction documents (e.g., architectural plans, interior design plans, specifications, schedules, addendums) to gather and document all relevant information.
  • Room and Dimension Calculations: Perform precise room and room-type counts and measure dimensions for tub/showers in construction documents.
  • Checklist Creation: Prepare detailed checklists for the estimating team to use when generating bid proposals.
  • Discrepancy Documentation: Record and communicate clarifications or inconsistencies between contract documents and bid requirements.
  • Product Suggestions: Recommend suitable products to the estimating team based on document reviews.
  • Communication: Respond promptly to emails and facilitate discussions with general contractors, architects, designers, and the estimating team as needed.
  • Bid Evaluation: Support the estimating team in deciding whether to bid or decline invitations.
  • Deadline Management: Meet all bid deadlines or notify supervisors promptly if delays are anticipated.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Capability to thrive in a repetitive role while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English, both verbal and written, especially regarding complex construction topics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; advanced degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Preferred Experience (Not Required): Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction documents, including architectural plans, interior design plans, specifications, schedules, and addendums. Experience using takeoff software to scale and analyze plans.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility required during the busy season.

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Project Management Specialist position assists with the coordination of the order process functions of the company, while providing ultimate customer service. This role is very fast paced and deals with multiple projects at once. This is NOT a remote role.

    Customer Service, strong administrative skills, ability to multitask, previous experience in similar or like role and extraordinary attention to detail, will make you the right candidate!

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Be physically present
    • Works closely with the sales and plant team to assure a reliable flow of information
    • Send submittal package to customer immediately upon receipt
    • Follow up with customer within 24 hours after sending submittal package if no contact prior and update system to reflect all communication.
    • Work with customer to coordinate production with their schedule as much as possible.
    • Process orders timely but not more than 48 hours after last item is received.
    • Keep system updated as items needed to release order are received
    • Maintain contact with customer on items needed to release an order into production, updating at least every 2 weeks. Communicate with customers to resolve any issues or inquiries.
    • Enter information into Excel for production planning. When all items are received, follow step by step guidelines of writing up an order and communicate order information to the customer.
    • Maintain file order as outlined
    • Revise quotes or request change orders as material orders change
    • Process payment forms the same day payments are received and send to supervisor to process
    • Create invoice, mail, and file for each order as required
    • Put a hold on stock doors the very moment money is received
    • Maintain all filing systems associated with the department (active and inactive)
    • Answer phones and emails in a timely manner
    • Adheres to Company attendance policy
    • Provide other administrative services to team

    Other responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Further education desired.
    • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced and changing environment
    • Ability to work with customers and understand the needs of each project
    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent typing, organizational and attention to detail skills needed
    • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and written.
    • Minimum of two-years experience working with an order management system and/or related experience in a customer service capacity is required, manufacturing experience a plus

    While performing the duties of the job, this is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand. The employee is also required to see, talk, walk, and hear and perform repetitive typing on a computer key board and 10-key calculator. Must posses strong mathematical ability.
